Migrate a Merchant ID to the Temporary NMI Virtual Terminal in Case of Outage

Home Payments Management Bridge Troubleshooting Migrate a Merchant ID to the Temporary NMI Virtual Terminal in Case of Outage

In the case of an outage with the processor partner used by Rectangle Health for Bridge Payments, you may be migrated to an alternate processing gateway with Virtual Terminal access. This will help to normalize payment processing. The conversion includes specific steps by the Rectangle Health support teams. You will be notified by email when this happens.

The initial step is an email that will notify you to look for future emails with login instructions. There may be a delay between the time when this initial email and the access credentials email are sent.

The process of migrating the account has specific steps that the Rectangle Health team must complete. This includes a verification process to ensure that credentials are only sent to known and authorized users (most often the practice administrator or owner).

If you want to email us to get more information about the status of your temporary NMI Virtual Terminal setup, please follow the instructions below so we can expedite a response.

  1. Email us from the email address that we have on file as the authorized person for your Merchant Account.
  2. Use one of these subject lines:
    • Need a Virtual Terminal [Practice DBA Name]
    • Have a Virtual Terminal and Need Additional Support [Practice DBA Name]
  3. In the email, include the authorized person's name and Merchant ID.
Important: To expedite setting up your temporary NMI Virtual Terminal, the information you provide us of your practice must match our records. For example, if you send an email asking about your account from an unassociated email address, the process may be slowed down because the records don't match.
You can find the Merchant ID on your statements.
You can also include people in your organization who are authorized to manage the migration in the email. Include both their email address(es) and name(s) in the body of the email.

Once you submit an email using this format, there is no need to submit another.
