About Online Payments (Balance Collect) Patient Authentication

Patient Authentication is an anti-fraud feature that limits access to your Balance Collect site to only patients that exist in Patient Express. When Patient Authentication is enabled, patients must authenticate with their first name, last name, and mobile phone number before they can enter Balance Collect to make a payment. If the information entered does not match a Patient Express record, patients see the message “Invalid Credentials.”

Patient Authentication is turned off by default; to turn on Patient Authentication, contact Customer Care at 800-337-3630 (option 3) or moc.htlaehelgnatcerobfsctd-7ed7bb@erac.
