A Card-Present Payment is initiated when the cardholder inserts, swipes, or taps their card. For an EMV (chip, dipped) transaction, the terminal will authorize the payment and prompt the cardholder to remove their card before anything happens on the Bridge Payments screens.
About the Card Details Screen
Regardless of which Bridge Payments screen is open when a Card-Present Payment is initiated, a pop-up window will appear with the card details already filled in, prompting you to enter an amount and click Submit.
If the cardholder’s first and last name are not automatically filled in, enter them manually.
Note: If you have any Merchant Defined Fields (MDFs), which are custom fields that allow you to track additional patient information on the transaction, they will appear here under Additional Information.
About the Signature Prompt
A message will indicate that the transaction was approved and that the terminal is prompting the cardholder for a signature.
When you run a card-present-payment using an EMV-certified touch screen terminal and click the Submit button, a No Signature button appears next to the “Transaction Approved. Signature Requested” message.
When you select No Signature, the signature capture is skipped, and the print/email receipt screen is displayed.
View, Print, or Email Payment Receipt
Upon approval, a Payment Approved window appears that enables you to view, print, or email the payment receipt.
To view or print the receipt, click Print.
To email a receipt:

- (Optional) Modify the default Subject line.
- (Optional) Add a custom message by typing your text above the default “Do-Not-Reply” message.
