Troubleshooting: Lane is Closed – Ingenico terminal can’t connect to Bridge Payments

If your Ingenico terminal is displaying "This lane closed", follow these steps to troubleshoot your device.

  1. Reboot the Ingenico.
  2. If Practice Management Bridge is open, close it.
  3. Wait for the Ingenico to display "This Lane Closed" again.
  4. Open and log in to Practice Management Bridge.
  5. Wait 30 seconds. The terminal status indicator dot should turn green, and the Ingenico should be ready to use.

If the Ingenico continues to display "This Lane Closed":

  1. Unplug the Ingenico's USB from the computer. 
  2. Inspect the cord for damage .
  3. Plug the USB cord back into the PC (if available, try a different USB port.)
    • Make sure that the Ingenico is plugged into the back of the computer. 
    • Make sure that you are NOT using a USB hub.
  4. Wait until the Ingenico displays "This Lane Closed" again.
  5. Open and log in to Practice Management Bridge.
  6. Wait 30 seconds. The terminal status indicator dot should turn green, and the Ingenico should be ready to use.

If the Ingenico continues to display "This Lane Closed":

  1. Make sure that your Windows computer is up to date.
    1. Open the start menu. 
    2. Select the Settings icon. 
    3. Select Update & Security. 
    4. Click Check for Updates. If there are any updates, please download and install them.
  2. Restart your computer, then open and log in to Practice Management Bridge.
  3. Wait 30 seconds. The terminal status indicator dot should turn green, and the Ingenico should be ready to use.

If the Ingenico continues to display "This Lane Closed":

  1. Close Practice Management Bridge.
  2. Clear cache and cookies for the browser.
  3. Open and log in to Practice Management Bridge 
  4. Wait 30 seconds. The terminal status indicator dot should turn green, and the Ingenico should be ready to use.

If the Ingenico continues to display "This Lane Closed":

  1. On your computer, press the Windows key and search for the Services app.
  2. Right-click and select Run as Administrator.
  3. Scroll to find Practice Management Bridge in the list of services and right-click.
  4. Select Properties.
  5. Click the Recovery tab.
  6. Change all three of the following drop-downs to Restart Service.
    1. First failure
    2. Second Failure
    3. Subsequent Failures
  7. Click Apply then OK.
  8. Restart the Practice Management Bridge Agent Service.
  9. Close the Services app.
  10. Close Practice Management Bridge.
  11. Open and log in to Practice Management Bridge.
  12. Wait 30 seconds. The terminal status indicator dot should turn green, and the Ingenico should be ready to use.
