You can designate your HIPAA Privacy and Security Officers in Bridge Compliance.

• Privacy Officer: Oversees HIPAA policies and handles privacy inquiries and complaints.
• Security Officer: Ensures the protection of electronic patient health information (ePHI) through security policies and procedures.

Notes:

• One person can serve as both officers.
• Ensure your designated officers are updated if roles or personnel change.

HIPAA requires practices to designate Privacy and Security Officers responsible for protecting patient information.

These leaders ensure compliance with HIPAA rules and coordinate efforts to safeguard sensitive data.

Designating officers helps your practice stay organized, accountable, and prepared for audits.

Instructions

1. Select HIPAA > Documents and Policies from the left menu.
2. Expand the Practice Forms and Logs section, then click HIPAA Privacy and Security Officers Designation.
3. Enter the names of your designated Privacy and Security Officers.
   Notes:
   • Client Name refers to the name of your practice or organization.
   • If the same person is serving as both roles, be sure to enter their name in both fields.
   • Changes are saved automatically.
4. Click the Create PDF button.
   Clicking this button will provide more information about each officer’s responsibility.
